Attorney Steven Hochberg Joins Housing Partnership Board
Steven Hochberg, Esq., has been elected to the Board of Directors of the New York City Housing Partnership Development Corporation.
Mr. Hochberg is the Managing Partner and Partner in Charge of Stempel, Bennett, Claman & Hochberg, P.C.’s Real Estate Department. He has expertise in all aspects of real estate acquisitions, sales, financing and leasing for commercial and residential real estate transactions having established the firm’s practice in the area of affordable housing development.
He has represented developers, not-for-profit corporations and lenders that have created thousands of affordable housing units throughout New York City. Mr. Hochberg’s experience includes working with governmental agencies and utilizing various forms of public subsidies, tax credits, tax exemptions, municipal and private activity bonds available for low income and affordable housing development. He has represented institutional and private lenders in connection with construction and permanent mortgage financing for commercial and residential projects throughout New York State.

Mr. Hochberg has served as outside counsel to the NYC Housing Partnership and is the current chair of the New York State Association for Affordable Housing (NYSAFAH) Legal Committee. He is also a member of the Real Property Law Committee of the New York State Bar Association. He holds a BA from Syracuse University and a JD from St. John’s University Law School.
