Home Buyers Club-Housing Partnership

Buying a home is often the single largest investment a person will make in their  lifetime. Therefore it is essential to be financially prepared. The Housing Partnership Home Buyers Club, taught by Noemi Vega, a HUD ceritified homeownership counselor with eight years of experience, will give you the information and tools necessary to make a sound decision. The Homebuyers Club is a HUD-certified comprehensive homeownership counseling and education course designed to inform prospective homebuyers of the necessary steps to take before purchasing a home. Topics covered include the merits of homeownership, financial planning and money management, understanding credit, obtaining the right mortgage, and how to shop for a home. One-on-one counseling will help participants in analyzing their personal credit and financial situations, as well as determine whether they are eligible for grants or savings programs. The course consists of five weekly, two-hour sessions over a period of five weeks and is taught by a HUD-certified homeownership counselor.

The Homebuyers Club is recognized by lending institutions as a HUD-Approved Housing Counseling Program, and is qualified to give homeownership counseling to individuals who have already applied for a mortgage and are required by their lending institution to receive counseling.

The Housing Partnership offers the 5-week course five times during the year for the convenience of our students. Classes are held at the Housing Partnership, 450 7th Avenue, Suite 2401, NY, NY 10123.  Interested homebuyers need only to sign up for one of the following course blocks:
